Artificial Intelligence (AI) has undeniably become a prominent topic of discussion in recent times. Intrigued by its potential, I couldn’t resist experimenting with it, primarily for copywriting for my portfolio posts and emails. While in some cases AI-generated content was great, I often find it lacking the personal touch from the author. Due to my non-native proficiency in English, I do appreciate the assistance AI provides in suggesting phrases. However, still have controversial feeling about whether AI will completely replace human copywriters.
Here’s a specific case in which I found AI to be incredibly useful. I am currently working on a textbook layout for Pearson, a prominent publisher. To effectively convey complex information in a visually engaging and easily understandable manner, infographics are a great tool. During this project, I had to create ten icons for the infographics I was working on. The creative process, as any designer knows, demands considerable time and energy. In an attempt to expedite this process, I decided to explore AI tools.
Using these AI tools, I generated different icons. While they were not flawless, they did provide a foundational concept. My task then shifted to refining and perfecting these icons in Adobe Illustrator while ensuring they maintained a consistent style throughout.
Take a look and let me know if my collaboration with AI proved successful.
